Samsung SDS unveiled its preliminary financial results for the second quarter of 2026, posting a revenue of KRW 3.7178 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 231.8 billion. Compared to the same period last year, the company’s revenue and operating profit rose by 5.9% and 0.7%, respectively.

□ IT Service and Logistics Businesses Grew in Tandem, Improving YOY Performance

Revenue from the IT service sector was KRW 1.7625 trillion, up 5% from the same period last year. Revenue from the cloud business, which accounts for the largest revenue share within the IT service sector, grew 17% YOY to KRW 779.4 billion. This was mainly driven by a 75% YOY increase in revenue from external IT business.

Among the cloud businesses, the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) business posted a 24% YOY rise in revenue. This was driven by rising demand for the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) and expansion of GPU as a Service (GPUaaS) offerings in the public sector and among external clients. The Managed Service Provider (MSP) business recorded a 17% YOY increase in revenue, driven by growth in AI Transformation (AX) projects in the financial sector and ERP projects in the shipbuilding industry.

The logistics business recorded KRW 1.9553 trillion in revenue, up 6.6% YOY. This was driven by growth in air forwarding and contract logistics focused on inland transportation and warehousing, as well as growth in external business centered around Cello Square.

□ AI Full-Stack Business Delivered Visible Results

Since declaring its vision of becoming a global AI Transformation (AX) company, Samsung SDS has strengthened its business competitiveness through an AI full-stack covering AI infrastructure, AX and AI services, and AI platforms and solutions.

In the AI infrastructure sector, Samsung SDS was selected in June as a key participant in the Ministry of Science and ICT's 'GPU Acquisition, Deployment, and Operations Support Project,' and is building a national AI infrastructure. Additionally, following the introduction of NVIDIA B300-based GPUaaS in March -- the first of its kind in Korea – Samsung SDS launched an NPUaaS product in July based on RNGD (pronounced Renegade) developed by the Korean company FuriosaAI.

In the AX and AI service sector, Samsung SDS was selected as a preferred bidder in April for the ‘AI Agent Building Project for AX,’ where more than 175 AI agents will be applied to core tasks at Woori Bank. Samsung SDS also won a contract to implement a generative AI system for the Export-Import Bank of Korea, expanding its AX business centered on the financial sector.

In the AI platform & solution sector, Samsung SDS is driving the adoption of AI across the public and private sectors, based on its generative AI solution Brity Works. The company was the first in Korea to establish a collaborative framework with three major global frontier AI companies -- OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Cloud.

□ Expanded Strategic Investments in Digital Assets and Physical AI While Continuing AI Infrastructure Expansion

Samsung SDS is expanding its strategic investments in digital assets and physical AI to build growth momentum for the future and to explore new business opportunities.

In May, the company acquired a 4% stake in Dunamu, Korea’s No. 1 digital asset exchange, together with Samsung Securities and Samsung Card. With this, Samsung SDS plans to actively explore new business opportunities in the digital asset infrastructure market.

In June, Samsung SDS made a strategic investment in Walden Robotics, a U.S.-based physical AI full-stack company, through Samsung Venture Investment. Starting with Walden Robotics, Samsung SDS plans to expand partnerships with global robotics companies and drive its 'Robot Orchestration' business, which integrates and controls a variety of robots and connects them to manufacturing execution systems.

In addition, Samsung SDS will continue investing in AI infrastructure to flexibly respond to surging demand. The company plans to increase its AI infrastructure capacity from 110 MW to 230 MW by 2029. It will expand the scale of its AI infrastructure business -- including Design-Build-Operate (DBO) projects -- to more than 800 MW by 2031, further enhancing its AI infrastructure competitiveness.
