Samsung SDS announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to strengthen collaboration in the areas of AI, cloud, and security, at “Google Cloud Next 2026” held in Las Vegas, U.S., on April 23 (April 22 local time).
With this partnership, the two companies will work together in generative AI and cloud computing, jointly pursuing business opportunities in AI and cloud services, particularly in highly regulated industries with stringent security requirements, such as the public and financial sectors.
Deepening the strategic alliance, Samsung SDS will leverage Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) to expand into high-security, regulated markets.
GDC is a fully managed hardware and software solution designed for data centers and edge environments, meeting requirements for regulatory compliance, localized data processing, system resilience, and ultra-low latency.
In addition, the companies will seek to offer Google’s Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI solutions as an integrated suite for enterprise customers on the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) operated by Samsung SDS.
Furthermore, Samsung SDS and Google Cloud will strengthen their managed service provider (MSP) businesses by combining their cloud technology capabilities and industry expertise, working together to expand market presence and deliver value to enterprise customers.
Moreover, the companies will enhance collaboration in cloud security and proactive risk response by integrating Google’s cloud security solutions with Samsung SDS’s security and managed service competencies.
Ruth Sun, Country Head of Google Cloud Korea, stated, “The expansion of our partnership with Samsung SDS marks a pivotal turning point in the transformation of regulated industries worldwide through the use of agentic AI and sovereign cloud capabilities.” She added, “By combining Gemini Enterprise with Samsung SDS’s profound industry expertise, we will move beyond mere technology delivery to establish the standard for secure and scalable next-generation enterprise intelligence.”
Ho-joon Lee, Executive Vice President and Leader of the Cloud Service Business Division at Samsung SDS, said, “Through this collaboration with Google Cloud, Samsung SDS will build AI and cloud environments with a focus on highly regulated sectors with stringent security requirements, and support enterprise customers in their AI transformation (AX) journey.” He added, “We remain committed to driving AX innovation across a diverse spectrum of industries”
