Samsung SDS is further solidifying its leadership position in the enterprise generative AI market by signing a series of ChatGPT Enterprise service agreements with flagship Korean companies across major industries.

Recently, Samsung SDS finalized contracts for ChatGPT Enterprise with major companies across industries, including Korea Zinc, iCRAFT, and TmaxSoft.

Samsung SDS has secured over 10 enterprise customers across various sectors, including the public, financial, manufacturing, retail, and service sectors, following its January contracts with Secta9ine and Hanatour. According to the company, this trend indicates that enterprise generative AI adoption is now gaining significant momentum across all industries.

Since being named the first official reseller partner for OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise in Korea last December, Samsung SDS has provided customized AX strategies, going beyond simple license distribution.

ChatGPT Enterprise is a dedicated enterprise service featuring robust security architecture and enhanced administrative controls, designed to ensure that internal corporate data is not used for AI training.

Leveraging its 'One-Team' support system -- integrating AI consulting and development, operations and cloud, and security -- Samsung SDS is establishing an end-to-end AX framework. The company provides integrated support throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial strategy formulation and AI full-stack design to actual implementation, enterprise-wide rollout, and operational advancement.

Additionally, Samsung SDS operates ‘Bootcamp,’ an initial support program designed to facilitate rapid customer onboarding. Bootcamp is a pre-adoption program consisting of a one-month free trial and three days of dedicated support. Through this program, customers can systematically assess essential requirements for adopting ChatGPT Enterprise, ranging from security and system environments to how the service should be utilized.

Through this system, Samsung SDS is reinforcing its role as an AX partner, transcending that of a mere reseller, to design and scale enterprise AI operating models.

Korea Zinc, with global competitiveness in non-ferrous metal smelting, has adopted ChatGPT Enterprise to internalize enterprise-wide AI utilization capabilities, including its ongoing 'AI-powered Smart Smelter' initiative. By implementing an enterprise-wide AI utilization system that meets security standards, the company aims to strengthen the protection of sensitive internal information and accumulate process and technical know-how as internal data assets, further sharpening its technological edge in the smelting industry.

An official from Korea Zinc said, “Through the adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise, we will advance our AI-powered knowledge management system, strengthening our competitive edge in smelting technology and delivering continuous innovation.”

iCRAFT, specializing in AI infrastructure design and implementation, adopted ChatGPT Enterprise to maximize the work efficiency of its engineer-centered organization while accelerating digital innovation. Through Samsung SDS’s strategic consulting, iCRAFT plans to enhance the productivity of individual employees, identify AI utilization cases for each division, and drive their enterprise-wide rollout. Also, the company will accelerate AI-powered work innovation to enhance digital competitiveness across the organization.

Ji-soo Park, Head of Management Innovation TF at iCRAFT, said, “This adoption goes beyond mere work productivity enhancement. It is a strategic choice to further elevate our expertise as an AI specialist. Building on our internal innovation, we will demonstrate our differentiated AI-specific capabilities to the market.

In line with the latest technological trends, TmaxSoft has been driving innovation in development productivity by applying generative AI to its product development processes since 2024. The recent adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise has enabled the company to establish a more secure AI-powered development environment. Having declared its mission to become a ‘global AI business platform company,’ TmaxSoft plans to accelerate the development of new AI and cloud-native products, with a more secure AI environment available enterprise-wide.

Ki-eun Park, Executive Vice President and Head of R&D Division at TmaxSoft, said, “Based on Samsung SDS’s capabilities, OpenAI’s technological power, and trustworthy AI utilization environments, we will fully advance AI-centered development systems and continue to drive R&D innovation.”

Jeong-heon Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Strategic Marketing Office at Samsung SDS, said, “Adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise is rapidly accelerating, driven by the comprehensive recognition of Samsung SDS’s technological capabilities, security reliability and deep understanding of different industries. As a leading AX partner that redefines the way enterprises work with AI at the core, we will establish a new standard in the Korean market.”
