Network Connection Service between Samsung Cloud Platform Regions and Global Regions

Cloud WAN is a service that provides network connectivity between Samsung Cloud Platform regions and customer sites. Users of Cloud WAN are charged based on data traffic capacity and are offered different operational management services based on the service level agreement(SLA).

Overview

  • Fast Backbone Network Configuration

    Samsung Cloud Platform users can choose their site location, create a virtual global backbone network and allow fast and secure cloud network configuration between SCP regions, between an SCP region and a customer site, and between customer sites.

  • Various Network Connection Types

    Cloud WAN offers various edge types for connection, enabling easy connectivity with SCP Transit Gateway or the local network at the customer site.

  • Cost-effective Service

    Unlike the bandwidth-based backbone network line service, users are charged only for data traffic capacity in a given zone, cutting network fees.

  • Operational Management Based on Service Level

    Cloud WAN users can choose the utilization type for the backbone transmission network, provided features, monitoring, failure management, and tech support level and are offered with different operational management services according to service level.

    1. Inter-region SCP peering, SCP to site peering, site-to-site peering
  • Backbone base edge connection service
    1. Provided edge type : Transit Gateway, Site Connect(Dedicated line)
      ※ Site VPN(Internet), SD-WAN to be provided after 2025
  • Features/operation/tech support services by service level
    1. Provided either in PremiumPlusG or LiteG based on the transport network, provided features, monitoring, failure management, and level of tech support.
      (LiteG will be provided later in line with security policy easing)
    2. Providing an option to choose multiple transmission paths between regions based on the service level (Gold/Silver)
