Samsung SDS Adopts Anthropic’s Claude and Forges Strategic Partnership to Expand Enterprise AI Business

Samsung SDS today announced that it has entered into a Strategic partnership agreement(SPA) with Anthropic, an AI safety and research company, to accelerate the growth of the enterprise AI market.
Through this partnership, Samsung SDS will combine its industry expertise and digital transformation capabilities with Anthropic's advanced AI technologies to strengthen its presence in the Korean AI market and support enterprise customers in accelerating AI innovation.
Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate across multiple areas, including:
• Jointly identifying new business opportunities and expanding the Korean market
• Developing Applied AI Engineers to support Claude deployment and operations
• Providing Claude Enterprise across Samsung affiliates to accelerate the transition to AI-native organizations
Jointly Developing New Business Opportunities in Korea
Samsung SDS will draw on its digital transformation experience across key industries to accelerate AI adoption among Korean enterprises and deliver tangible business value to customers.
The two companies will actively pursue market development initiatives, including joint marketing, proof-of-concept (PoC) support, and co-investment in new business opportunities.
Strengthening AI Service Capabilities Through Applied AI Engineer Development
Samsung SDS will also launch an Applied AI Engineer development program to cultivate professionals capable of supporting Claude deployments. Applied AI Engineers are hands-on AI specialists who design, implement, and operate AI solutions tailored to enterprise environments.
Through this program, Samsung SDS plans to systematically develop professionals capable of delivering end-to-end services—from AI adoption planning and solution implementation to operations and technical support— for Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, further strengthening its ability to support enterprise customers.
Providing Claude Enterprise to Approximately 70,000 Employees Across 20 Samsung Affiliates
Ahead of this strategic partnership, Samsung SDS adopted Claude Enterprise internally as part of its Client Zero strategy, under which new technologies are first deployed within the company before being expanded to external customers.
In the first weeks of the rollout, Samsung SDS employees have exchanged more than one million messages with Claude, and nearly half of active users have adopted Claude Code.
Today, Samsung SDS provides Claude Enterprise to approximately 70,000 employees across 20 Samsung affiliates, helping accelerate their transition to AI-native organizations.
Building on this experience, Samsung SDS plans to expand its AI transformation(AX) business by providing enterprise customers with comprehensive support across the entire Claude adoption journey—from planning and deployment to ongoing utilization and operations.
