Samsung SDS has been awarded an “AA” rating by MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International), a globally recognized ESG rating agency. This rating represents a significant improvement, as it is one notch higher than last year’s.

MSCI assesses the risk response capabilities and sustainability of listed companies worldwide based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, assigning ratings on a seven-point scale ranging from AAA to CCC. An 'AA' rating is among the highest, awarded to companies that demonstrate strong leadership in ESG management and serves as a reliable benchmark for global investors.

Within South Korea’s IT industry, the average ESG rating is BBB. Samsung SDS’s "AA" rating stands out as exceptional, even within the domestic ICT sector, underscoring the international recognition of its efforts to strengthen ESG management.

Samsung SDS received particularly high marks in the human resources (HR) and data security categories. To systematically gather employee feedback, the company conducts employee satisfaction surveys at least once a year. Additionally, it offers customized competency development programs tailored to each job level and position, enhancing human resource competitiveness. In the field of data security, Samsung SDS has introduced a recruitment program linked to a domestic graduate school specializing in data security to secure specialized talent.

The company’s data security efforts were also highly evaluated, particularly for obtaining the international standard certification ISO 27001 and strengthening its risk management system. By transparently disclosing its data security policies, organizational operations, and response procedures, Samsung SDS has built trust and credibility in this area.
