Samsung SDS, the first Korean enterprise to join EEA (Enterprise Ethereum Alliance)
- EEA announced at the Consensus 2017 Blockchain summit on May 22 that Samsung SDS’ has joined the alliance.
- NexledgerTM, the Samsung SDS enterprise blockchain platform operated by Samsung Card and highly appreciated by EEA, highlights the new business opportunities in the blockchain market through global cooperation
EEA is a global group that focuses on enterprise blockchain solutions centered on Ethereum, the key protocol of blockchain technologies. Membership includes global leaders such as Microsoft, Intel, JP Morgan, and ING Barings.
EEA selected Samsung SDS (CEO & President, Yoosung Chung) as one of its members, because of the company’s NexledgerTM, an enterprise blockchain platform, that enables digital ID and payment service and in applying the platform Samsung Card’s digital payment service.
Samsung SDS, as a member of EEA, will be able to improve the technical competitiveness of its NexledgerTM platform and continue to discover business opportunities in the global blockchain market through deeper cooperation with the world’s leading companies.
NexledgerTM enables a faster and more securing digital processing of standard contracts that are vital to millions of transactions performed as part of essential economic activity.
The 「Smart Contract」 module extends the implementation of contracts without fabrication and falsification. As a beginning point, it will be introduced to the financial industry for banking, stock trading, deliberation and payment of insurance benefits and to the public, medical, manufacturing and logistics sectors where trust of each contracting party is critical.
