Samsung SDS Nexshop Does Double Duty at InfoComm 2018

InfoComm 2018 Set New Records for Size, Attendance with nearly 43,000 registered attendees, +10% more than last time the event was held in Las Vegas!

Samsung delivered a one-of-a-kind visual experience in its impressive and innovative booth at InfoComm 2018, the largest professional audiovisual trade show in the US.  In the Samsung Electronics booth, attendees were treated to the introduction of the Wall – a jaw dropping MicroLED display, as well as, superior LED & UHD signage, MagicInfo 6, The Flip, and so much more innovation.  Samsung SDS was invited to showcase Nexshop in both the Samsung Electronics (C3127) and Harman (N1105) booths, and traffic was steady and highly interested and engaged.

Over the 3 days, Nexshop registered over 63.5K visitors (includes duplicate visits) at the SEA (Samsung Electronics America) booth’s imagined Retail Store, with a capture rate of close to 7%. This area showcased Nexshop’s targeted promotions capabilities by displaying ad content based on gender demographics. Yoojin Kim, Sangwon Seo, Hyunmin Kim made the long trip from Seoul to make sure the demos were working flawlessly. Joseph Lanners and I came from NJ (New Jersey) to assist them in giving demos to the hundreds of visitors from around the world who were WOW’ed by Nexshop’s behavior sensing, digital experience and targeted promotions.

At the Harman booth Patrick Sullivan set up 9 cameras and 16 sensors to capture 10,195 visitors with a 92% male/8% female gender split. Harman generously featured Nexshop on a full wall of their well-placed booth (they were located at the front of the North Hall, just as you walked into the room) and Patrick gave hundreds of demos to interested Harman customers and show visitors. Harman was also very excited to get their own Nexshop reports at the conclusion of the show, in order to better understand foot traffic and engagement in their multiple booth stations.

Overall, it was a busy few days and long hours on the show floor (lots of sore legs and feet), but there is a tremendous amount of satisfaction and hope that the excited prospects we met will turn into future happy Nexshop customers!
