+ Improving accuracy in freight arrival estimation using Samsung SDS’ AI analytics platform, Brightics AI
+ Unveiled remote delivery monitoring service using IoT and video analytics
+ Announced logistics and account settlement services specialized for Amazon Open Market
Samsung SDS (CEO Won-pyo Hong, www.samsungsds.com) held the Cello Tech Fair 2018 on October 25th and unveiled the logistics platform Cello Plus 2.0, which can more accurately predict estimated date of freight arrivals.
Cello Plus 2.0 combines advanced technologies (AI, IoT, bigdata, etc.) with existing features (SCM planning, international and local shipping, and warehouse management services) from the 2015 platform version.
Using Samsung SDS’ AI analytics platform, Brightics AI, Cello Plus 2.0 analyzes port of destination congestion to provide shippers accurate date of arrivals allowing for smooth connections with inland transportation.
At the Tech Fair, Samsung SDS also introduced Cello Plus 2.0’s remote delivery monitoring service using IoT and video analytics technologies.
When freights are delivered late at night and the recipient is not available, Cello Plus’ remote delivery monitoring service checks the delivery person’s arrival and departure; automatically initiates store and warehouse monitoring; and sends an alarm to the manager if abnormal situations occur such as unauthorized access.
Samsung SDS also announced upgrades to Cello Square’s service, which supports logistics and account settlements for manufacturers who directly sell their products on Amazon without distributors.
Cello Square is an efficient online logistics platform that can cut delivery time and costs by automatically selecting the optimal shipping method and logistics company for global e-commerce merchants.
“Combining new technologies, including AI and IoT, with Samsung SDS’ global logistics experience, the Cello Plus 2.0 platform will further reinforce our competitiveness in the logistics business,” says Samsung SDS Executive Vice President and Logistics Business Unit Leader, Hyung-tae Kim.
