MariaDB is an open source relational DBMS that is highly compatible with MySQL. Samsung Cloud Platform provides an environment that automatically creates and configures MariaDB database, and to ensure the proper management of a single instance or critical data, features such as high availability capability, read/replication, backup/restoration, patch, parameter management, auditing, and monitoring were added.

    Using the source code and architecture identical to MySQL, MariaDB(DBaaS) guarantees high compatibility with MySQL. Its fast query response and flexible structure make it highly scalable. Users can utilize the commands, interfaces, and APIs used in MySQL.

    MariaDB(DBaaS) uses a web-based console to automate DB managers’ tasks, allowing easy access for anyone to be able to create and manage databases. With Samsung Cloud Platform taking care of complicated database management, users can focus on application development and service operation.

    MariaDB(DBaaS) offers optimized environments to securely manage customers’ data based on Samsung SDS’ decades of experience and know-how on DBMS management. The highly reliable high performance infrastructure and sync replication architecture developed by Samsung SDS also ensure high availability.

  • Rapid and safe DB creation
    1. Auto provisioning : Automatically install standard version Samsung Cloud Platform database using Virtual Server with various spec
    2. HA architecture : Active-standby configuration based on SW-level synchronous replication
  • Simple and convenient DB management
    1. Backup : Provide full backup which uses DB backup feature
    2. Recovery : Able to recover to a specific point in time or to a backup stored point of based on backup files(data & archive) stored in storage
    3. Patch : Provide patch function for minor version
    4. User parameter setting : Set parameters regarding better DB performance and security
    5. Read Replica : Configure up to five read-only servers for purposes of load balancing for reading
    6. Data migration : Automatically migrated between DBs of the same type(Engine version is the same)
