Secure cloud EHR solution

Samsung SDS has completed the cloud EHR solution by participating in the national strategy project to establish precise medical hospital information system. Currently, the hospital information system at Korea University Hospital in 3 locations (Anam, Guro and Ansan) is planned to adopt the cloud-typed hospital information system for the first time in Korea. Once the cloud EHR expands, good quality data will be accumulated and such data will be utilized for individual customized treatment and clinical research resources through data analysis. This is expected to move one step forward for the innovation of medical services.

Through Dr.Answer task, Samsung SDS has developed the AI technology that predicts the reoccurrence of breast cancer.

By participating in the national task (Dr. Answer) to develop precise medical solution based on AI, Samsung SDS has developed the AI technology that predicts the reoccurrence of breast cancer in partnership with Samsung Medical Center. By predicting the reoccurrence of breast cancer among the patients with the experience of breast cancer surgery, the medical staff suggests individual appropriate treatment for those patients with potential risks of reoccurrence.

Participate in the establishment of data-centric hospitals

Samsung SDS participated in the establishment of data-centric hospitals as a cooperative organization of Samsung Medical Center Consortium in 2020. In this project, Samsung SDS provides the data analysis platform based on the medical cloud (complying with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, ISO 27799-certified). The platform will be realized as the architecture of Clinical Data Lake, while the linkage between hospitals and related organizations will be easier by applying an open-type architecture. Also, Samsung SDS provides the safe platform service by applying the highest security technology and management schemes.
