Carbon Emissions Information Service

ESG Carbon Footprint is a service that provides information on estimated carbon emissions that can be reduced when using Samsung Cloud Platform instead of on-premise data centers. As the world demands that companies manage their carbon emissions due to climate change, Samsung Cloud Platform contributes to customers' ESG management activities by expanding the visibility of carbon emissions resulting from cloud adoption and use.

Overview

  • Customer ESG Management Support

    Samsung SDS is the first domestic cloud service provider to obtain greenhouse gas inventory system certification*, thereby supporting ESG management activities of customers using the Samsung Cloud Platform.

    * Greenhouse gas Inventory System Certificate : GIS Certification verifies the appropriateness of carbon emission based on domestic and international laws/regulations and ISO standards.

  • Calculating Expected Carbon Emissions

    ESG Carbon Footprint can estimate the expected carbon emissions that can be reduced using Samsung Cloud Platform based on customers' past carbon emissions information and current resource usage.

  • Convenient Information Check

    Carbon emissions information is visualized in an easy-to-understand manner and provided to users in a dashboard, allowing them to easily check current carbon emissions, monthly emissions trends, and total emissions for the account.
