Multi Gateway Service for Connection among Customer Networks or Connection Hub among VPCs

Transit Gateway allows convenient connection between the customer network and Samsung Cloud Platform network. The service also serves as a connection hub among various VPCs in the cloud environment. With Transit Gateway, a variety of network topology configuration is available as per customer demand. The independent firewall and routing features for each connected network zone ensures even stronger security management.

Overview

  • Various Network Topology

    Customers’ on-premises environments can be easily connected to the cloud and various VPCs in the same project can also be connected. The efficient network configuration for traffic flows ensures cost-efficient architecture.

  • Easy Interworking among Accounts

    Transit Gateway peering allows connections to VPCs of other accounts or other locations, simply using routing setting of the connected zone.

  • Improved Security

    Each network zone of Transit Gateway is equipped with firewalls to increase security. User control is made convenient with routing setting and log management features as
    well as firewall policy management.

Service Architecture

  • Account A
    1. Internet → Firewall → Internet Gateway → router → VPC 1 (VM, VM, ...) → router → Transit Gateway1
    2. User(On-prem.) → firewall → Transit Gateway → router → VPC 2 (VM, VM, ...)
      3. vpc1'router - transit gateway - firewall - firewall(account b) - transit gateway(account b)
  • Account B
    1. Transit Gateway 2 → router → VPC 3 (VM, VM, ...)

    1. Create/Edit/Delete Transit Gateway
    2. Apply for Uplink network connection of customers
      ※ Uplink network connection at a customer site is configured manually after receiving SR and the router at the customer site must support BGP routing protocol.
      ※ Related service(IGW and VPC for Bare Metal Server) connection is supported through SR.
  • Transit Gateway and VPC connection creation
    1. Select VPC to connect to Transit Gateway (up to 5 VPC connections)
