Samsung SDS wins GSMA Glomo Award for 'Best Mobile Security or Anti-Fraud Solution'
Samsung SDS announced it won the GSMA Global Mobile Award (Glomo) in recognition of the company’s integrated mobile solution, Samsung Mobile Security Management Suite, at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain, on February 28 (local time).
Considered the Oscars of the IT industry, GSMA Glomo Awards are announced during the MWC event every year. This year’s nominees were selected from a wide range of mobile solutions, services, and devices introduced to the market in 2016 and evaluated based on their level of innovation and contribution to the mobile industry. Rising above a crowded field, Samsung SDS was recognized as the NexsignTM, a biometric authentication solution that verifies identity using fingerprint, voice, and facial information, to Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) to enhance user convenience and tighten security on mobile devices at the same time.
Nexsign is the only PKI-based biometric authentication solution to have achieved Common Criteria certification, while Samsung SDS EMM received the first-ever U.S. Common Criteria certification for both AndroidTM and iOS.
Samsung SDS Mobile Security Management Suite continues to evolve as a leading solution in the public sector and financial services industry, further validating Samsung SDS’s reliability, quality, and trustworthiness.
“SDS was honored to receive this world-renowned award for its competence in mobile security that global companies are focusing on,” said Won-Pyo Hong, president of Solution Business at Samsung SDS. He added, “We hope to be a good example for many domestic and international businesses that are keen on promoting both security and user convenience.”
